 Great alternative to sweet energy bars Mar 21, 2013

Very good curry flavor. Quite enjoyable. I eat a lot of clif bars but don't alway feel like a sweet bar.

I tried one of these gardenbar® GB-Ind Healthy Vegan Gluten-free Indian Flavor Snack Bar 1.7 Ounce Single Serve (Pack of 12) that a friend had and really liked it. The flavor is pretty strong so it helps to take small bites which is healthier anyway. Drink some water with it and it would make a great meal on the go!

The spices give this a good overall "Indian" flavor with an aroma that's quite reminiscent of chana masala. There's just a touch of heat that's mild enough to let you know it's there without making the bar too spicy. While the presence of mild sweetness is not inappropriate, it's not the right type of sweetness. I think a dairy note would make it suit the rest of the flavors; it'd be interesting to see if coconut milk would help, since the bar is supposed to be vegan.

Perfect. A meal bar that is not just good tasting but nutritious and healthy as well. And each of the flavors is unique. Well done. Looking forward to new flavors as well.
